Putin withdrawing Russian troops from Syria

“President Vladimir Putin dropped a bombshell Monday when he suddenly ordered his defense and foreign ministers to start pulling “the main part” of Russian forces out of Syria the next morning” – DEBKA.

News-media around the world are stunned by this announcement. The US is in consternation as to what on earth has caused Putin to do this.

Firstly, lets be clear, Russia is not leaving Syria all together. According to Russian state media, ‘Moscow will maintain a military presence in Syria, and a deadline for complete withdrawal has not yet been announced. Putin also indicated that Russian forces will remain at the port of Tartus and Hmeymim airbase in Latakia.

Speculation about the Russian motive is rife with most US agencies skeptical of Putins claims.

One source which has proved itself to be impeccable – breaking news well in advance of all other sources – is Debka, who have this to say about the withdrawal:

“A deep rift with Tehran over the continuation of the Syrian war and an irreconcilable spat with Syrian ruler Bashar Assad over his future prompted Russian President Vladimir’s shock order Monday, March 14, for the “main part” of Russian military forces to quit Syria the next morning.

The Russian president may have acted now because he was simply fed up with the interminable bickering with his two allies, which was going nowhere except for the continuation of the calamitous five-year war. He therefore presented them with a tough fait accompli. If you want to carry on fighting, fine; but count the Russian army out of it.”

Despite the speculation, one thing is clear: Russian intentions are as clear as mud.

At any rate, if Russia does leave Syria, it will leave a far more scalable contingent in Syria than what it had before it entered in September. It wouldn’t be too hard for Russia to sweep down harder and faster at another date.

Who are the Christadelphians?

“Christianity was in its earliest days, entirely unpolitical: The best representatives in our time are the Christadelphians.” – Bertrand Russel

“Christadelphians aim to get as close as possible to the faith and practice of the early Christian church.” – The BBC

The Christadelphians reject many of the major doctrines of modern Christendom, and have an understanding of the Gospel that is true to the original teachings of Jesus Christ.

It is recognized – even by historians – that many of the doctrines of the major churches were introduced in many cases under political pressure, or for political expediency. In other cases and especially around the 4th century, Christian practices adopted pagan characteristics in order to entice pagan worshippers. However the doctrines and practices of the Christadelphian community dispense with centuries of pagan and political influence, and are derived only through scriptural precedent.

Continued, personal and independent study of the Bible is the primary emphasis of the community, with sole reliance on Scriptures for guidance in a way of life.

The Christadelphians organise locally into groups called “ecclesias”, which is a Bible word in Greek that means A called out assembly. We have no clergy, and share responsibilities for various tasks among the baptized members of the ecclesia. Our ecclesias associate with one another by having what we term – fellowship, which is Christian association in many forms.

There are Christadelphians in many parts of the world, for example in Britain and parts of Europe, many African countries, the Far East from India to Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, North and South America from Canada to Argentina, and in the islands of the Caribbean. The community includes people of many races and cultures.

A brief summary of Christadelphian beliefs are listed below.

  • The Bible is the only true message from God and was entirely given by him.
  • There is only one God, the Father, who made the world and has a great purpose for it.
  • The Holy Spirit is God’s own power; by which He works out His own holy will.
  • Jesus is the Son of God. He is also Son of man through being born of Mary.
  • Jesus overcame all temptation and died to save his followers from sin and death.
  • Jesus was raised from the dead by God. Later he ascended to heaven but will return.
  • When he returns he will raise and judge the responsible dead and give immortality to the faithful.
  • He will be King over the restored Kingdom of God in Israel and over the whole world.
  • His immortalised followers will help him to bring everlasting righteousness and peace worldwide.
  • The devil is not a supernatural being but is another name for sin, destroyed only in Christ.
  • Salvation involves covering from sin through Christ, and freedom from sin and death at his coming.
  • When man dies he ceases to exist. The only hope of life is by the resurrection at Christ’s return.
  • Belief in God’s Promises about the Kingdom of God and the work of Jesus Christ is essential.
  • Repentance and baptism into Christ by immersion in water and daily following of Christ are all necessary for ultimate salvation.

The Last Sign before the Return of Christ

We often look to places like Ezekiel 38 for signs, but the reality is that the 6th Vial in Revelation 16 describes perhaps the most important sign for our generation because it is the very last sign to directly portend the return of Christ.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

In verse 13, the primary emphasis is on the unclean spirits – not the frogs, which are only intended to help describe the unclean spirits. The unclean spirits represent teachings which are detestable to God. The detestability of humanism has been a constant since Adam and Eve, and today’s human nature and sin is no better or worse than it was in the time of Nimrod or the Tower of Babel. What is more detestable to God today, is the global influence wielded by the anti-Christ and the harlot-church.

The meaning behind the symbol of the Frog can be found in both the Exodus and Psalms which speak of the pervasiveness of the Frogs during the Egyptian plagues and how they were so omnipresent that they even entered the kings bed chambers – Psa 105:30. This pervasive influence is one that comes from three entities; the mouths of the Dragon (Russia), Beast (Europe) and False Prophet (the Papacy).

However verse 14 has strong links back to other sections of scripture which give us more information about this pervasive policy, and it is not just any policy; these verses describe the apostate doctrines of the False prophet in the last days suggesting that what verse fourteen is describing, is not so much a political ideology, but a blasphemous ecclesiastical policy or teaching. Such a hypothesis would not be against the grain of the broader narrative of Revelation which includes the history of the rise and fall of the apostate system.

Both Europe and Russia are components of the former Roman and Byzantine Empires which indulged the teachings of their respective apostate churches – Catholicism, and Orthodoxy.  Today, with the help of social and news media, the teachings are louder, more pervasive, and perhaps more blasphemous – and they are indulged by both the European leaders and the Russian state.

“Unclean Spirits”

The biblical term “spirits” refers to doctrines & teachings:

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world

“The Spirits of Devils”

1 Tim 4:1 – Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

“Working Miracles”

Matt 24:24 – For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

“Kings of the Earth”

Revelation 17 (the harlot riding the beast) – And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

Pope Francis: “We can accomplish Miraculous things”

Only a few weeks ago, Pope Francis made the following comment;

We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.”
 Pope Francis.

The Pope is seeking to unify Europe

Daniel 2: The Roman Catholic Iron beginning to unify the European Clay in Daniels Image:

“Europe is the only continent that can bring some sort of unity to the world,” Pope Francis said in a March 2 meeting with a small group of Christian socialists from France.

In a wide-ranging discussion of Christian involvement in politics, the Pope said that Europe has “a universal role” to serve the cause of world unity. To serve that cause, however, the Pope went on to say that Europe must “rediscover its cultural roots.” He added that Europe’s future is endangered by its falling birth rates.

The Pope remarked that today there is talk of an “Arab invasion” of Europe, because of the influx of migrants. But he argued that nationalists are wrong to take an anti-immigrant stand. The problem, he suggested, is the absence of a unifying spirit in Europe– an absence that creates a vacuum that is now being filled by immigration. Throughout history, the Pope argued, a stronger Europe has absorbed contacts with new groups, and found ways to use them as ways to open exchanges between cultures.

Speaking to his visitors about the political situation in France, the Pope said that the country’s emphasis on secularism is “incomplete.” He argued that France needs a “healthy secularism,” one that does not seek to exclude spiritual and religious dimension.
